Prince Crashes The View & Surprises Audience & Viewers

I am a faithful The View watcher. Now that I am a WAHM, I am able to catch all of my favorite daytime shows while working. Anywho, while watching The View today, I was giddy with joy as Prince stormed the stage unexpectedly and sat down with the co-hosts. It was amazing!

Prince rarely speaks in public or gives interviews. So the fact that he stepped on The View in order to let the world know about his upcoming appearance at Madison Square Garden was a major feat for the show. We later found out that Prince visited because of Whoopi (he and Whoopi have a special friendship) and Barbara Walters was the only other co-host that knew he was appearing because Whoopi told her moments before they went on air.

I am a MAJOR Prince fan so his visit to the show was right up my alley. Prince’s music has been the soundtrack of my life’s story.

Prince is a man of few words, but when he was asked about Justin Bieber saying that he wanted to be like him because he wrote and produced all of his music, Prince gave him and other new school singers some tips. Sherri got super excited hearing him speak, which made him blush and leave just as fast as he came.

I recently did wrote an article for The Cubicle Chick about how The Talk copied The View, and it seems to have been getting a lot of hits from the web. I stick by my statement in saying that The View has a formula that won’t quit—having Prince on today’s show displays the type of pull The View has— and it remains one of my favorite talk shows.

Prince’s Welcome 2 America Tour kicks off this month on a series of dates to be announced soon. Prince gave away 2 tickets to his MSG show on The View.
