Cube Review: OPI ‘Brights’ + Bath & Body Works Country Chic Fragrance

Being a ‘digital debutante’ is no fun unless you get a little pampering action in as well. While indulging in a manicure and pedicure the other day, I bought a fun collection by OPI called ‘Brights’ which featured such vivid colors as ‘That’s Hot! Pink’, ‘Atomic Orange’, and ‘Teal the Cows Come Home’. I was trying to find a way to do a mash-up at least two of the colors, and came up with a funky combo that came out not too shabby.

But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself.

I LOVE these colors! I am always the one that steers away from the pales and the nudes and goes full force into the bright hues, so this collection was made with chicks like me in mind. The two colors you see in these photos are ‘That’s Hot! Pink’ and ‘Teal the Cows Come Home’. Each finger has three coats of each to make the color pop—the teal color definitely must have three coats in order to achieve the look in the photo. For me, two coats weren’t as vibrant.

These are full-on color polishes, not shimmers. For me, I prefer these over shimmers.

Next up, we have ‘Country Chic’, Bath & Body Works newest fragrance. According to the BBW, ‘Country Chic’ is a chic blend of wildflowers, woods, and citrus. I bought a “layering trio” of fragrance mist, body lotion, and shower gel, and they can be sold separately, but fit together in a nice tower of fragrance power when purchased together.

For me, I am usually not a floral scented gal, but ‘Country Chic’ had me at hello. I love the freshness of the scent, and the subtly effect is has. This is definitely a must purchase!

I like those colors. I don’t think I have any super bright polishes. Country Chic is really nice. I was pleasently surprised by it. I think it will be my summer weekend go to fragrance.

Kim, I know that bright colors usually aren’t looked upon as being the most conservative in the office, which is why I love working for myself because I can simply do ME. I would love to see some bold brights on your nails.

Taguma, I am so bad about putting where to purchase things I blog about. The mini set shown in the post was $12.99 and I got it from Beauty First here in St. Louis. You can probably get it on Amazon as well, which is my go to place for a lot of nails colors when I can’t find them locally. 🙂

Shaelafemme, I have only used my bottle once, so you can have it if you’d like. I think the color would be great on you. 🙂

Danyelle, After I’m all moved into my new place on Friday, a manicure will be first on my to do list Saturday & I’m going to get something bright. Who cares what they say at work? I plan to have a new job by the end of May anyway 😉

It’s funny that I just saw this post, I purchased the 3 minis of the country chic and a regular size country chic body mist. I love the scent. Can’t wait to rock it. Very light and fresh.
