Ah, the Family Kardashians are back in the news again. This time, it’s the eldest daughter of the K clan that is making the headlines. Yesterday, Kourtney announced that she is nine weeks pregnant with her second child and will be giving birth next year. Kourt is once again having a baby with on-and-off boyfriend Scott Disick, whom is also the father of Kourtney’s two year old son Mason. The internets were abuzz about this new factoid because of all of the recent fodder surrounding sister Kim’s 72 day marriage to basketball player, Kris Humphries.
“Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child and are thrilled to be expanding the love in our family.”
Coincidentally, Kourtney and Kim’s new season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York debuted on E! this past Sunday. We all know how media savvy mom Kris Jenner is as she seems to show opportunistic tendencies where her kids are concerned. Another child entering the family fold means more ratings, more interviews, more money. And it also takes some of the heat off of Kim and her so-called sham mega millions wedding and pending divorce.
Of course the Kardashians would have you to believe that this wasn’t planned nor orchestrated, and they haven’t even discussed Kourtney’s pregnancy in regards to how it could improve the family’s image. The public has grown weary of this family, but it’s hard to diss a pregnant woman and her baby—unless you are Beyonce of course.
And while I am happy for Kourtney (she is my favorite Kardashian behind Khloe), I can’t help but wonder how Kris is going to spin this into a win/win for her business, oops, family. Kris’ management of the sisters is nothing short of remarkable, as she has spun a bad sex tape into a billion dollar family industry.
Did I mention that Kourt also has a new mommy blog that, you guessed it, debuted yesterday as well? Can you say ca-ching?
We all like to say that we hate the Kardashians, but inside, we do care. Yes, we do care!
In more quieter news, it has been reported that Kim’s jilted groom, Kris, is pushing for the courts to grant him an annulment and not a divorce, on grounds that she fraudulently got him to marry her. I guess we will have to wait to see how that all plays out.

Loved this show for its messiness but I am officially sick of them. I don’t poo poo on their money making schemes. I actually applaud their genius for manipulating us into caring. I’m over them now though. It took the 72 day marriage for me to quit the Kardashian drug… but, I have quit.
Love the look of your blog! I think the premature announcement is just PR spin for Kim. I think it’s disgusting. I loved the Kardashian clan for a long time, and thought they were a solid family, but I see more and more how overexposed and money hungry they are and continue to be. I wish I never saw any of them again– well except Khloe and Lamar. The rest of them should go away.
I laughed out loud at the headline of this post because it’s sooooo true! You hit it right on the head, Cubicle Chick. Kourtney is pregnant again and, though many won’t admit it, we really do care. haha
I am growing very tired of the clan. My love for Kim has disapaited, even before her sham of nuptials. But I’m tired of them, they can fo away now;)
