Style Cues: Four Ways to Wear a Moto Jacket

Style Cues Four Ways to Wear a Moto Jacket

Whether you burn through trends at lightning speed or cruise at a steady pace with classics, a Moto Jacket (short for Motorcycle Jacket) is a surefire way to rev up your style. Popular for several seasons, Moto Jackets have evolved beyond the standard biker black to a myriad of colors, fabrics, and prints. Their utilitarian factor is undeniable – layer one to extend the life of a summery piece or warm up on chilly nights. We love Moto Jackets for their massive cool quotient. Here are four ways to wear a Moto Jacket that will edge up your look—bike optional.

Date Night

Regardless of how long you’ve been with your partner, dressing for date night can be tricky. You want stay in your style lane, but propel your look forward. Moto Jackets declare, “I’m hot and I’m cool.” Balance the jacket’s toughness with feminine accents, like a tulle skirt and clutch purse. Bonus: the jacket will look fab with jeans and a cute top for date #2 (or 200).

Brunch with Friends

Friends equal fun, and your outfit should reflect that. Bright jewelry and sleek heels are a given, but a Moto Jacket in an unexpected hue shows the born-to-be-wild side your friends love. With easy distressed jeans, you’re ready for brunch, drinks, or an afternoon of shopping with your crew.

Desk to Date

If your professional wardrobe has an opening for something smart, hardworking, and unafraid to take risks, interview a motorcycle jacket. Narrow the applicant pool to jackets in office-friendly fabrics like tweed or wool. A Moto Jacket paired with corporate classics like A-line skirts builds a dynamic team capable of working overtime into happy hour. Just give it trial run – we’re confident the moto jacket will reach corner-closet status in no time!

Weekend Wear

When you’re powering through a too-long list of errands, wearing a stylish outfit is low on the agenda. Donning a sweatshirt and comfy shoes is not only acceptable, it’s crucial. Top it off with a moto jacket, and in zero to sixty you’ve gone from frazzled-woman-running-errands to frazzled-yet-stylish-woman-running-errands. Grab an also-on-trend backpack and you’re good to go. See how easy that was?

As you can see, Moto Jackets are versatile, fab, and fun. How do you wear your Moto Jacket?

“Desk to Date” I love this term.
I haven’t had to go from the desk to a date in awhile, but I’m always looking for ideas on ways to step up my game when we’re going out!

Ha! I personally have several Moto Jackets and I love how you can wear them dressed up or down. And they are great for the Fall temps, too. Carmen will be blogging more about personal style and shelling out tips, too, so stay tuned. 🙂
