Tis the Season for Traditions and Giving with Hickory Farms

Tis the Season for Traditions and Giving with Hickory Farms

Disclaimer: Compensation and products for review were provided by Hickory Farms via MomTrends. I received a free sample of the product for the purpose of this review and to facilitate a giveaway.  The opinions expressed herein are those of the author and are not indicative of the opinions of Hickory Farms.

I love this time of year! Not because of the gifts or the shopping, but because this is when I truly get to spend more time with my family and loved ones while basking in our holiday traditions. It is also a time where most of us are giving back to those in need. I like to practice the art of giving year ’round, but during the holidays, giving can help others also have a joyous time. I not only give directly to organizations and charities that help others, but I try to purchase items that have a component of giving as well.

For the third year, I am writing about Hickory Farms and their focus on charitable giving. Hickory Farms is widely known for their gifts and treats which we especially love during the holidays, but they also work closely with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to help raise awareness and funds. Each night, millions of children go to bed hungry and without a proper meal. No Kid Hungry was created to help end childhood hunger in America by 2015.

Giving is a tradition, and can be a win/win for both you and your family or a gift recipient. Every time you purchase a Hickory Farms Party Planner box, they will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign during the holiday season.

Hickory Farms Signature Party Planner

To date, Hickory Farms and their customers have helped raise $3.3. million for No Kid Hungry. These contributions help provide funding for summer meal programs, emergency food assistance, nutrition education, holiday charitable giving, and long-term solutions for families in need.

I have a full review of the Hickory Farms Party Planner box with more details if you are interested in purchasing.

This year, I have gifted two family members with the Party Planner box as a part of our family giving tradition.

Hickory Farms also has five products that they offer free shipping to military APO and FPO addresses, including the “Festive Cheese Sampler” gift basket and “Beef Hearty Hickory” basket.

‘Tis the season for traditions and giving with Hickory Farms. I love supporting companies that lend a helping hand to those in need.

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

I think that raising $3.3 million for hungry kids is very honorable and a respectable thing to do from Hickory Farms.

I admire that the company is willing to help, but why only help during the holiday season?
Hickory Farm should have similar campaigns running during the entire year.

    happy holidays,
    Lani

I loved receiving this box to review a few years ago. It was perfect for guests who stopped by for play dates while school was out or to drop off gifts!
