February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partn February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partnered with @MedIQCME and Duke Health to raise awareness about atrial fibrillation (AFib), also known as irregular heartbeat which affects 12 million people. My father was diagnosed with AFib and my family has a history of this condition, so I do my best to learn as much as I can about it.

I’ve learned that when the atrium’s squeezing becomes irregular, blood doesn’t flow as smoothly through the heart and clots can form. Those clots can travel to the brain, disrupting the oxygen supply and causing a stroke. People with AFib are at approximately 5 times greater risk for stroke than those with regular heartbeats. Stroke is a leading cause of death and also of serious, long-term disability. It is essential to get to a hospital quickly if you suspect a stroke in yourself or others.Learn the acronym FAST to recognize the signs of stroke:

F = Face. Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech. Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T= Time. If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

Take this survey (link in bio) for the chance to win 1 of 5 $100 VISA gift cards—takes less than 10 minutes.

Thanks, @mediqcme, and Duke Heart. Supported by an educational grant from the Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer Alliance.

A Day in the Life of a Multi-preneur and Mom #NoSickDays

Disclaimer: As a member of the Vicks® Ambassador Network, I will be sharing stories and tips related to their products and have received compensation. As always, I believe in honest storytelling as it relates to working with brands, and the opinions expressed in these posts belong to me and aren’t influenced in any way.

Being a busy mom, blogger, Work/Life and Career Expert, author, and media personality has its privileges, including being able to create my own schedule while working on projects that help grow my brand and build a legacy. To some, it looks glamorous from the outside as I share photos from my latest trip or details of my upcoming book, but believe me when I say that it is hard work. There are plenty of late nights in my home office and hours of working and reworking ideas until they are as close to perfect as I can make them. And because there are no days off from being a multi-preneur, that includes not being able to take sick days when I am feeling under the weather.

The show must go on, so I rely on DayQuil/NyQuil Severe because it helps relieve my worst cold and flu symptoms so I can and go back to doing the things I love and can’t miss—like growing my business and taking care of my family.

Just how work fulfilled are my days growing my business and empire building? Here’s a view of a day in the life of a Multi-preneur and Mom—me!

6:00am

It’s rise and shine time as I spend a half an hour meditating and journaling. This helps me prepare for my day and get focused on upcoming tasks.

6:30am

It’s time to wake up my 11-year-old daughter and help her prepare for school.

7:00am

Breakfast is served.

7:30am

I walk my daughter to the bus stop and off to school she goes.

The Cubicle Chick No Sick Days

8:00am

My morning workflow begins. I check and reply to emails, schedule posts, and work on TheCubicleChick.com business, taking a break every hour to move about.

A Day in the Life of a Multi-preneur and Mom

Noon

Lunch and downtime (if possible, but sometimes, I have a working lunch eating while working on projects).

1:00pm

Prepping my upcoming book working on edits, revisions, marketing, social media, and more.

4:00pm

My daughter comes home. Then it’s homework help time, meal prep, dinner, and family time.

6:30pm

Piano or viola practice Tuesdays and Thursdays with my daughter’s instructor.

8:00pm

Bath time and prep time for my daughter’s next day of school.

10:00pm

Tuck in time.

10:15- ???

Late night

Prepare for the next day, journal, and go to sleep.

Nyquil before bed

More working on TheCubicleChick.com projects including blog posts, correspondence, etc.

As you can see, almost every hour of my day is accounted for and is dedicated either to my business or my family, so there are #NoSickDays off for me (and probably for you as well). And during this time of year, it’s important to have Vicks DayQuil Severe and NyQuil Severe on hand to help me power through my day and get all tasks completed. Vicks DayQuil Severe is non-drowsy and alcohol free so I can work all day while getting the job done. And Vicks NyQuil Severe fights symptoms while allowing me to get the proper rest and sleep I need so I can me on my A game the next day.

It’s good to know that I have a partner on hand to help me run my empire.

Stay tuned for a behind the scenes glance from the @NyQuilDayQuil Twitter channel on Wednesday, 11/4! I will be taking over to show my take on #NoSickDays.
