What Happened When I Hosted a Working Moms Night Out

Sans kids, partners, or responsibilities, I'm sharing our experience recently during a Working Moms Night Out sponsored by Hollywood Casino Hotel St. Louis.

This post includes a review of Hollywood Casino Hotel St. Louis. I was given a complimentary stay  alongside amenities in exchange for this review.

Did someone say Working Moms Night Out?

I was all ears when I was tapped to host a night out at Hollywood Casino Hotel right here in St. Louis for an overnight jaunt. I am surrounded by hardworking gals who are mamas, entrepreneurs, and all-around amazing women. We don’t get the opportunity to hang out much, but when we do, it is always a good time.

It is essential for working moms to be able to play just as hard as we work. Our days are filled with conference calls and business deals and answering emails and going from meeting to meeting—running your own business in addition adds to the list of duties and responsibilities as well. When we are able to “clock-out”, then there’s the family to attend to, soccer games to go to, groceries to pick up—the list goes on and on.

Which is why I am a huge proponent of hitting the town, just with the girls to bond, relax, have fun, and enjoy one another’s company. Working Moms Night Out is something we should partake in at least quarterly, and I make it a priority to do so.

Sans kids, partners, or responsibilities, I'm sharing our experience recently during a Working Moms Night Out sponsored by Hollywood Casino Hotel St. Louis.

Last weekend, I rounded up my entrepreneurial posse to spend the evening at Hollywood Casino Hotel on them. We were given two rooms for the night, dinner at their prime restaurant Final Cut Steakhouse, and drinks at 99 Hops House.

Yes, please!

It was a nonstop party as we pre-gamed in our rooms before getting gussied up and heading to dinner. There were plenty of laughs and hysterics as we added to vault moments—those instances when things occur and you promise one another that it doesn’t leave the vault, meaning it’s our secret.

At Final Cut, we were given top notch treatment and partook in edible goodness, including filling desserts that weren’t approved by my personal trainer.

We played a lot in the casino grounds, then got drinks at 99 Hops House and had an extended nightcap.

Here are a few essentials for a Working Moms Night Out:

A festive environment

Hollywood Casino Hotel St. Louis is a perfect location for a Girls Night Out. With plenty of restaurants, Boogie Nights Nightclub, large casino, a bar, and refurbished rooms, it is an awesome backdrop for an occasion such as this. They even have the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater nearby that host outdoor concerts that up the wow factor.

A festive environment is needed in order to bring maximum fun and memories, so plan accordingly. Without it, your Working Moms Night Out isn’t official.

Amazing friend girls

You need a group a friends that complement one another. Take my group. Winnie is the young one who is wide-eyed and full of creativity and excitement. Shaquan is the life of the party that everyone loves and looks forward to spending time with. Roshini is the glam one who is extra, but it a good way (and is funny as they come). And then there’s me, a combo of them all, I’d say.

A well-rounded group makes for a pretty epic time.

Hit the angles

Smartphones are in order because you’ve got to share your night on Instagram and Facebook for posterity. The right angle is needed—we all need that money shot.

No appointed bedtime

Sleepyheads need not apply—it’s an all night affair. We stayed up until after 5am sharing and bonding and recapping the night, which meant we didn’t get much sleep. But not sleeping is a sign of a good night, I say.

Boom!

Sans kids, partners, or responsibilities, I'm sharing our experience recently during a Working Moms Night Out sponsored by Hollywood Casino Hotel St. Louis.

Now that you know how to plan an execute a Working Moms Night Out, it’s time for you to organize one and put it in motion. It will be just what the doctor ordered to cure the busy, stressful, and sometimes chaotic life you lead.

If you are in the St. Louis area, Hollywood Casino Hotel needs to be on your list.
