Digital Lifestyle: The 5 Best Things About the LG G Flex Smartphone

Digital Lifestyle The 5 Best Things About the LG G Flex Smartphone.png

Back in March, I received the LG G Flex smartphone from AT&T to use in my daily life for a review. While I wrote my first initial thoughts on the device here, I wanted to take some time to use the phone for a longer period of time before sharing what I loved about the phone—and what I didn’t. Being as how I write most of my technology reviews from an everyday user viewpoint, I try to take into consideration the usability of the device, the speed, and if it improves my digital life or impedes it. I have to say that during the month or so I’ve been using the device, for a phone of this size, I am totally enamored with it. It’s got me thinking about perhaps going to a larger device as my go-to everyday smartphone.

Here are the 5 best things about the LG G Flex Smartphone (in my humble opinion of course):

1. Battery Life

I’ve used many a smartphone in my life, but this one takes the cake when it comes to battery life. During one jaunt, I went 4 full days without charging it, and it still wasn’t in the red area. Mind you, I do use several devices, but since I was testing the LG G Flex, I tried to use it more so for my everyday needs—tweeting, texting, reading blogs, Facebooking, etc. If you are looking for a device that looks good and offers fabulous battery life, I must say the LG G Flex is your phone.

The speed of the phone is awesome, and allows for switching back and forth between apps virtually seamless (without any lag). I find lagging to be an issue on a lot of Android devices, but it looks like the LG G Flex has found a way to pack a punch without sacrificing the usability of the phone. When used on the AT&T 4G LTE network, surfing the web, retrieving emails, hanging out on social media, etc. is fast and durable.

3. Visuals/Graphics

One thing about my iPhone—watching movies, video, and other media on it isn’t the best. That’s when my tablet comes in. But on the LG G Flex, watching media is an amazing experience. With 6.o” HD 1280 x 720, media pops out at you. Which leads me to my next best thing…

4. Design

The design of the LG G Flex lends itself for easy usability. Whilst on the bigger side of things, I still felt that I was in control of the device. The curved design allows for a better media experience as well. So if you are one to watch movies and other media, or play games on the go, this phone would really work for you.

5. Head-turner

Everywhere I went, people were asking me about the “curved phone” when they saw me using it (although I will say, over time, the curve isn’t as pronounced as it is out of the box). If you are one that likes to set trends and stand out amongst the crowd, the LG G Flex does just that.

So in closing, the LG G Flex is a pretty neat phone with all of the bells and whistles most tech savvy people love. I definitely became enamored with it when I used it, and it is now on my short list of favorite Android devices to use.
