The Kids Table: Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year, as it allows for all of us to get together and enjoy one another while we share positive thoughts of gratefulness. It’s also a time that both the adults and kids are celebrating with one another, and basking in the season. If your Thanksgiving is anything like mine, you may have a Kids Table for the younger set to eat with one another and is separate from the actual adult Thanksgiving table. Having activities and things that the smaller kiddos can participate in while keeping them busy is key, so I am introducing Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids that work well for The Kids Table.

Everything from drawing, to game playing, to using their noggin, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas are fun, kid tested, and oh so creative.

Thanksgiving Color Placemats

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

These Thanksgiving Color Placemats are fit for kids of all ages, and can provide fun time at dinner time. Have a set of crayons or colored pencils in a mason jar or tin nearby, and watch the kiddos work hard on their masterpieces.

Tic Tac Toe

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

Who doesn’t like a game of Tic Tac Toe? This Thanksgiving-esque set was made for The Kids Table and you moms and dads may want to play too!

Thanksgiving Bingo

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

B-I-N-G-O. Young and old alike love this game, and it can entertain the kiddos at their table, or during the entire Thanksgiving soiree.

Thankful Wreath

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

What better way to teach kids the idea of Thanksgiving than writing out what they are thankful for. All of the kids can write out what they are grateful for, then can create a centerpiece that makes a cute keepsake after the dinner is over.

20 Questions

For older kids, 20 Questions is a game they all can enjoy. Have each child write out a question they’d like to ask, and add them to a jar. While they are waiting for the food or in between courses, they can take turns answering questions that they pull from the jar.

This can be a great ice breaking activity, and adults can participate too.

Question idea: How old were you when you learned to ride a bike?

Thanksgiving Garland

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

To round out my collection of Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids, they can create a Thanksgiving Garland that can be placed on the mantle for fireplace. To create, all is needed is construction paper, scissors, and a glue stick.

Just cut different colored strips and let the kids loop together a memorable garland that can be a centerpiece of decor.

Whether you have a Kids Table or not during your holiday fete, these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids are perfect for keeping them busy and entertained.

Four of these Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for Kids can be purchased at the Target Dollar Spot, and are $3 or under, and can provide hours of fun.

What are your favorite go-to Thanksgiving Activity Ideas for The Kids Table?
