Who doesn’t like Miami?
With its year-round warm temperatures, style for days, and beaches that make most of us swoon, it is a destination for snow birds like myself. When the weather begins to look frightful here, I book a trip to Miami for a few days of R&R.
This is just what I did recently during a getaway in Miami. While there, I stayed at Oceanside Hotel and Suites (click HERE) located Mid Miami Beach not too far from the Balfour Shops. I scored an amazing deal on Hotel Tonight, and I must admit, I thought the price was too good to be true. Once I checked in and made myself at home, I found myself falling in love with this quaint hotel.
Oceanside Hotel and Suites boasts rooms that are full of color and light. Bigger than your average room in the area, it has been totally redone while keeping its old fashioned charm.
My room was right by the pool and featured decor that is oh so South Beach. And the bed? Super comfortable and plush—I slept like a baby.
Another amenity that I loved was the soft, plush towels, and a bathroom that is the size of some rooms in the area.
Here are a few of the things I liked best about Oceanside Hotel and Suites:
Staff
The staff at this spot are amazing. They went out of their way to make sure all of my needs were met, including helping me out with dinner reservations and a free ride to and from the restaurant. I was pleased with the service, and it was the top thing that stuck out to me. I will stay with them again based on the staff alone.
Location
Oceanside Hotel and Suites is located on the Mid-Miami Beach, and is about a 7 minute walk to the actual beach. South Beach is about a 10 minute car ride, and there are plenty of stores and restaurants near the hotel.
Price
I got a very low price for my room on Hotel Tonight, but I looked up the normal rate for off-season, and it is still lower than most of the hotels in the area. If you are looking to take a trip and not spend a lot on a lodging without sacrificing room or ambiance, Oceanside is a great option.
In addition to all of that, there’s a 24 hour eatery located right at the hotel that has fabulous brunch fare.
