All eyes were on the Sunset Tower Hotel yesterday as R&B veteran and songstress, Mary J. Blige was awarded an inaugural Essence Black Women in Music Award for her generous contribution to music.
There were plenty of celebrities on hand to toast to Mary’s achievement. I have been a fan of Mary’s since she came out with What’s the 411 back in 1992 and it’s been wonderful to witness her growth over the years.
