That makes it two novels in five months, and I must say that while I missed my original deadline in February, I am so excited to have this one finished. The support you all showed me during the first release made me warm and fuzzy and so many of you reached out and asked when the next one would be. Well, here you go!

I’m a Colgate Blogger Ambassador: Road to the Essence Fest (Sponsored)

Colgate Blogger AmbassadorFor years now, I have been wanting to attend the annual Essence Festival that takes place each year during the Fourth of July weekend in New Orleans. Always a bridesmaid but never a bride, I always had issues getting the planning portion right to pull the trip off. But this year, the stars and the planets aligned as I’ve been chosen as a Colgate Blogger Ambassador for bLink and Blogalicious, and one of my “duties” will be attending the Essence Fest in July.

Can you say YAY?!

Not only will I get the opportunity to finally attend the Essence Festival, but I get to do so on behalf of Colgate while discussing the importance of overall physical, mental, emotional, and oral health. Colgate is an Essence Festival partner and will be facilitating discussions during the event on how to live healthier lives as a part of the ESSENCE Magazine Healthy Revolution. More and more women are taking charge of their wellness and stepping up their health game (myself included), and we want to live full and rich lives while being active and encouraging our families and friends to do so as well.

I am very honored to be a part of this campaign program, as I know that it relates to many of my readers and followers. Health and wellness have become important aspects in our lives, and with this campaign, I can help spread healthy messages and tips, while also doing my best to be on point as it pertains to my wellness, too. I will be sharing more with you about being a Colgate Blogger Ambassador as well as information on what you can expect from #ColgateTotal and what we will be up to during the ESSENCE Fest.

You can also participate in the campaign before the ESSENCE Fest, as they are stopping in key cities during the 2014 Road to ESSENCE Fest. The next stops in the tour are:

  • Dallas, Texas (Saturday, May 10th–Tank, Sevyn Streeter, & more)
  • Washington, D.C./Maryland/Virginia area (Saturday, May 17th, Laurel, MD—Marsha Ambrosius, Avery*Sunshine, & more)

Click here for more details. You can follow the conversation on Twitter by using the hashtag #ColgateTOTAL I cannot wait to attend the ESSENCE Festival this year.

Now the question begs, what should I wear? I feel a shopping trip commencing soon!

Disclaimer: I am a Colgate Blogger Ambassador and have been compensated for participating. All opinions expressed in this campaign are mine, and are not indicative of the brand(s) mentioned.
