My novel ‘A Clermont Lane Wedding’ is certainl My novel ‘A Clermont Lane Wedding’ is certainly not biographical, but there are traces of my life all up and down this book (hint hint). It’s a perfect Spring Break read!

It’s got romance, intrigue, a little mystery, and a family legacy on the line. On sale on Amazon, eBooks and paperback, link in bio.

What’s The Most Embarrassing Thing That Has Happened To You At Work?

We’ve all had embarrassing or weird things or situations happen to us at work. I know I for one, have had tons. So many, that my initial plan for this website/blog was to post embarrassing work scenarios that I witnessed or was a part of in the workplace. Yes, that was the first vision of The Cubicle Chick. But let’s not digress. I recently took to my Facebook page to ask the question— “what’s the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you at work?”

I received some interesting answers in response:

Kawanzaa Said:

I was working at Lucent Technologies and I was on the elevator with one of the few female VPs of the company. Trying to make a connection and small talk, I turn to her and say, “oh congratulations!” “when are you due?” She looks at me and says, ” due?” ” nope… I’m not pregnant.” You could smell the denver omelet frying on my face!”

Akia Said:

“Well being in the Nursing Field….I’ve walked in on a male patient masturbating…I did knock 1st though”

Patrice (Afrobella) Said:

“At my old job, my boss was what we called a ‘nervous farter’. Whenever he got stressed out about an impending deadline, he’d become very gassy. Audibly, embarrassingly gassy. Having to work with him on a story in close proximity = no fun at all.”

Yolanda (Notorious Spinks) Said:

In regards to mistaking women for being pregnant at work—” I work with pregnant women so I’m always recruiting. I just give them flyers and tell them if you know anyone pregnant pass this along. If they dont say they are pregnant I keep it moving. LOL!”

Caitlin (TropeofIrony) Said:

“About a year or so ago, at my job as a tech editor in San Francisco, my whole department was clustered around our supervisors cube, talking about the economy and how much it sucked, and how we were worried about our jobs. That’s when my cell phone went off — playing my custom ringtone, “The Imperial March.” Luckily everyone had a great sense of humor about it. In fact my supervisor was laughing so hard I thought he would fall over. ”

What about my most embarrassing work moment?

Let’s just say it had to do with a co-worker and that time of the month. I don’t want to gross you out!
