Missoni for Target Hits The Bulls-eye on 9/13

When it was announced that Target was partnering with Italian fashion house Missoni, everyone and their mother rejoiced (I know I did). It was a really smart move on both parts—Missoni gets to curate a new audience for their clothing, and Target is able to stand above other department stores as being one that is not only affordable but fashionable as well. Missoni will not only introduce clothing pieces, but decorative items for the home is also included in the collection.

Sneak peeks of the line has already been unveiled on several blogs on the Internet, but the collection will become available for purchase both in stores and online on September 13th through October 22nd (however some items in the line will be available until December).

Missoni is known for its zig-zags, classic style, and impeccable lines. It’s fabulous that Target will be carrying Missoni in their stores, for us regular folks.

Take a peek at some of the items from Missoni for Target:

Melamine appetizer plates, $2.99 + up

I’m not crazy about the clothing, but I love the laptop sleeve and the plates!

Robyn, the clothing isn’t everyone’s style. There are some pieces that I can do without. The housewares are fabulous. I really love the laptop sleeve. I think I will be buying it when it’s available.

Seems like bloggers are having a love/hate relationship with the line. Some of the overall looks are TOO much for me, but I think the pieces on their own will be great. I’ll def pick up a zig zaggy cardigan, and maybe some of the home decor stuff- love the blanket and glassware!

I’m not fond of all that business, but I did like the decorative dish that was featured in O magazine a while back. That’s probably the only piece I’ll even consider getting.

I can’t wait for this! I’ve had it on my calendar for like two months now. I definitely want a Missoni scarf/headband. And I want to get one of those trays you have in that one picture (I saw one that I want for my coffe table). Otherwise I’m not sure what I’ll get – I’m just going there on Tues to scope it out.
