New Year, New You: 5 Ways To Stop Hair Loss

We are almost at the start of a new year, and this is a time when many of us are trying to get out with the old and in with the new. Whether it’s losing weight, obtaining a new look, or getting rid of the access baggage that may have weighed us down the year prior, most of us want to step into the new year with a new outlook and new goals. In addition, you may also want to make yourself look and feel better, which can go a long way for your personal morale.

Hair loss is something many people suffer from. Some of it is due to age, heredity, or medical conditions. But whatever the case, it doesn’t have to mean that you have to settle for losing your hair. There are many things that you can do to help regrow your hair or stop the hair loss you are currently experiencing.

I know after I gave birth to my daughter 8 years ago, I experienced a lot of hair loss. My doctor told me it was due to the hormone adjustments my body was making after her delivery. I was ashamed of the way I looked and often wore my hair up so that no one could see the loss of hair. After doing some research, I found out that this was something that a lot of new mothers experienced, and I was not alone.

I consulted my hair stylist, who began scalp massaging treatments to help stimulate growth. Within a year of having my daughter, my hair began growing back and I now I have a full head of healthy hair.

If you are suffering from hair loss, there are many things you can do to stop it. Here’s a list of 5 Ways to Stop Hair Loss:

  • Keep hair and scalp clean and cleansed properly with the appropriate shampoo for your hair type
  • Stimulate hair follicle and scalp by not keeping your hair in one position too long and/or brushing hair to stimulate the follicle
  • Make sure combs and styling agents are cleansed properly before using
  • Use a DHT inhibiting product
  • Consult a licensed cosmetologist that specializes in hair loss and/or hair regrowth

You can also use products to hide or camouflage thinning hair or hair loss. FiBond helps eliminate hair loss by bonding hair fibers with your own hair and scalp. It’s a natural looking way to give you a boost of confidence you may need, and is safe to use on both women and men. To learn more about FiBond, click HERE.
