St. Louis Cardinals American Girl Day at Busch Stadium

If you follow me on my blog or on social media, it is no secret that my daughter and I are huge fans of American Girl. AG gives us wonderful bonding moments, and it makes history fun for my daughter while being educational. We also love attending American Girl events here at the Chesterfield, Missouri store, and we’ve had the opportunity to do some pretty neat things with the AG crew, from meeting American Girl author Laurence Yep, to seeing the Saint Louis Ballet perform Cinderella as a companion to AG’s Girl of the Year, ballerina Isabelle. A few weeks ago, we were guests at the St. Louis Cardinals game where it was American Girl Day at Busch Stadium. And we were given the “star” treatment.

The day started with us meeting at American Girl before the store officially opened. We were given some sweet American Girl swag (red AG hats for the both of us and her doll), the latest American Girl magazine, cookies, and other goodies. Then, each girl was able to get her doll’s hair done at the salon in pigtails with ribbons. The Chicklet decided to bring Saige along for our trip to the ballgame. Then we shopped, ate lunch at the American Girl Bistro, and then piled into a fabulously huge double decker bus which transported us downtown to Busch Stadium.

We watched the game, ate snacks, and enjoyed the breeze (it was a overcast day which I was thankful for—the high was 75 that day, perfect for a ballgame). During the game, American Girl got a shout out on the big screen.

And afterwards, the girls were able to run the bases. Then we returned back to the AG store in the bus. It was a fabulously fun day!

If you are looking for positive family fun for your girl, I highly recommend American Girl in-store events. To find the events happening in the store nearest you, click here.

Below are some additional photos from our American Girl Day at Busch Stadium. (Oh, and yes the Cardinals beat the San Diego Padres that day, too! YAY!)
