Seven Working Mom Self-Care Ideas for June

Mama, it's your time to shine. Indulge in my list of self-care ideas for June, and allow them to help you pour into yourself.

Mamas, we made it! June is finally here, and with it signals summertime. The kiddos are out of school, and a vacation or two is in order during the course of the summer season. This is a time of you to kick back, relax, and enjoy your glow.

My Self-Care Ideas for June lets you to put the focus back on yourself, while allowing you to bask in all of that wonderful sunshine. Check them out for yourself and make sure to add a few of these ideas to your self-care plan.

Grow something

There’s something cathartic about growing something with your own two hands. Whether it’s a plant or a garden of flowers or herbs or fruits and veggies, planting and growing something of your own has been a goal of mine for awhile now.

Mama, it's your time to shine. Indulge in my list of self-care ideas for June, and allow them to help you pour into yourself.

Now, I am finally doing it.

You can start with a small herb garden that can be grown in your windowsill, or grow your own plants in you home or patio. It’s an awesome feeling seeing something that you’ve planted bloom in front of your eyes.

Develop a skincare routine

Skincare is important—it just is. If you are a working mom, it may be on the back-burner since there are so many other things that take precedence. Developing a skincare routine can help you look and feel better and can give you a confidence boost.

I just started a new skincare system, and I will be reviewing it soon. In the meantime, you can get tips on how to treat oily skin HERE.

Get a pedicure

I am all about a pedi year ’round (you won’t catch me slipping), but I don’t do it because people may (or may not) see my feet. I do it because it makes me feel good. Self-care is about YOU more than anyone else, and having feet that are well cared for, massaged, and moisturized is a healthy thing to do.

There’s an increased pep in my step after I get a pedi, and I make sure to get one at least once a month.

Learn about crystals

Using crystals can help you spiritually, physically, mentally, and some would say, financially. Some crystals have healing and other intuitive powers that can enhance your life in a positive way. For instance, Rose Quartz in known for positive energy and love. Amethyst releases relaxing energy, and Citrine emits confidence, endurance, and growth.

Mama, it's your time to shine. Indulge in my list of self-care ideas for June, and allow them to help you pour into yourself.

Crystals aren’t a replacement for what you already do spiritually. It is a way to attract more of what you want with stones that are naturally made to attract certain outcomes.

Hire a maid

Don’t let anyone make you feel like you are lesser-than for hiring someone to clean your home. If you can afford it, mama, then go for it! I’ve had a housecleaning service clean my home bi-weekly for years now, and it isn’t negotiable. In between visits, I maintain the cleaning and upkeep and it helps me retain my sanity.

You can start with one cleaning and see how you like it from there.

Family affair

Do something spontaneous with your family like partaking in a last-minute staycation or take a road trip to a small town in your state. Enjoy the day, leave your worries at home, and just enjoy one another’s company.

Try something new in the bedroom

Yes, it’s time. In order to keep your love life hot and steamy, you gotta keep it fresh. I’m not here to tell you what to try in the bedroom, only to do something that you both haven’t done before—or done in a long time. This includes using toys and other inspiration.

If you are need some tools to help you out, visit my friend Thien-Kim at Bawdy Bookworms to get your spice on. I’ve blogged about Bawdy Bookworms HERE.

For your sexy and smart bestie or girlfriend on the move, the Bawdy Bookworms Box is a definite awe-worthy gift she will love.

I hope that this list of self-care ideas for June helps you create an awesome month that helps your mind, body, and soul.
