Why the Book The Innovation Stack by Jim McKelvey Changes the Game

Many of us want to turn our idea into a global powerhouse. The book The Innovation Stack by Square co-founder Jim McKelvey is the blueprint.

The following is a sponsored post. All opinions belong to me.

What’s important to you as an entrepreneur? As a working mom?

For me, it is important to me to continue to learn and grow as a careerist, social entrepreneur, and thought-leader. Reading is a huge part of learning. I am constantly listening to podcasts and audiobooks as well as reading books that are cutting edge and encourage forward thinking. I was recently given The Innovation Stack by Jim McKelvey to review, and to share my thoughts with you about it, and I must go on record by saying that this book has been a game-changer for me.

I think it will be a game-changer for you, too.

First, here’s some information about The Innovation Stack author, Jim McKelvey. He’s a fellow St. Louisan (just like me). He’s a glassblower, and co-founder of Square, a start-up that revolutionized the way that small businesses and entrepreneurs could do business. Alongside Jack Dorsey (co-founder of Twitter), they helped to empower small merchants by giving them a way to accept credit card payments. Square was founded in 2009, and is now a global player.

As you can see, Jim McKelvey understands how to take an idea and make it something tangible. By creating tools that solve problems, he has tapped in to taking a crazy business idea and making it a real, valuable asset to others.

Here’s a few reasons why you should read The Innovation Stack:

Get an insider’s view

With his book The Innovation Stack: Building an Unbeatable Business One Crazy Idea at a Time, he shares what it takes to build a resilient world-changing company with interlocking solutions. He takes you into Square during its humble beginnings and shares funny, yet compelling antidotes that help ignite and inspire you.

Fresh and real

When reading, I found myself not being able to put this book down, and I powered through it in a few days. Even with my crazy and hectic life of working as a Social Media Manager, creating content for my personal brand, helping my clients, motherhood, and trying to have a life of my own, finishing this book became a passion of mine.

Conversational

Where other books of a similar nature seem to talk to you and at you, McKelvey’s more personal and conversational tone made it easy and enjoyable to read. So many takeaways and gems!

If you want to change the game and take that idea and form it into a viable product or service that can help others, The Innovation Stack is a book you need to read.

I’ve managed to create a brand that helps working moms thrive, and this book is going to help me grow it even further.

Purchase your copy of The Innovation Stack: Building an Unbeatable Business One Crazy Idea at a Time. It is worth the investment.
