It’s beginning to look a lot like #CountdownToChristmas. That time of year when all of us Hallmarkies get a dose of new Hallmark Channel holiday flicks while binging on those faves that we’ve enjoyed during holidays past. There’s something about watching a holiday movie on Hallmark Channel, and it has become something that I love to do!
This year, I’ve got my loungewear ready alongside my favorite mug, and I’ve cleared my evening schedule for “A Christmas Treasure” starring Jordin Sparks and Michael Xavier.
Here’s the synopsis:
After opening a 100-year-old time capsule and meeting a charmed chef, Lou questions whether or not she should move to New York after Christmas and further her writing career.
This movie reminds me of the time when I first-moved back to St. Louis, the city I was born, in 2000. At that time, I had been living in Florida for ten years, and I was a single mom raising my son who was just six. I was struggling financially and needed some help, but it was easier said than done. Fortunately, my grandmother invited me to come and stay with her so that I could get back on my feet, and in the end, it was the best decision. During my first Christmas in St. Louis that year, my then-boyfriend proposed and we ended up having a pretty good life together.
It was something about that Christmas magic. (insert the appropriate holiday song here!)
In total, there are 41 all new original movies premiering this year on Hallmark Channel and on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. There’s something for everyone.
