Keep Your Child Fab & Fashionable This Winter Without Breaking the Bank

My 16 year old pretty much shops on his own and picks his own clothing—which is fine because there is nothing fun about picking out clothes for a 16 year old man child who thinks he is the most fashionable thing hitting the streets. For my 6 year old, however, shopping has become a bonding time for us. And since she likes to look good and be comfortable at school, we are always searching for the best deals.

I get asked all of the time where I get my daughter’s clothes from. It seems like she has a lot of clothes, but I make sure to buy pieces that can be interchangeable and look like different outfits. I also don’t believe in spending a lot of money on her clothes because she is growing like a weed and has already outgrown most of her back to school clothes.

With that in mind, I have compiled my top 5 places to purchase fab and fashionable clothing for your child for the winter that won’t break the bank.

Land’s End

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed that I have been raving a lot about Land’s End. It has always been my go-to place to buy my daughter’s winter coats but they also have cute and affordable clothing as well. Perfect for the winter, the clothing choices of fleece and cotton keep your kids cozy while making them look good. The prices are low (I recently bought my daughter’s winter coat on sale online for $35.00), and shipping is lightening fast. I ordered her coat on a Friday and received it on a Tuesday and didn’t pay for fast shipping. Land’s End is a mom’s dream!

Land’s End Skirt, $25.50 Land’s End Ruffled Shirt, $18.50

Old Navy

Old Navy has stepped up their kid’s line and I love the way they mimic the adult clothes. Cute, uber inexpensive, and made for long wear, Old Navy is my go-to place for winter attire. I don’t think anything I purchase for my daughter is over $25.00 and these days, that means alot!

Children’s Place

I am not a fan of this year’s selection of Children’s Place‘s fall items, but I must put them on the list because they are consistently a great place to buy affordable kids clothes. Their skinny jeans this year have been my daughter’s favorite and priced at 2 for $25.00, she has a pair in every wash and color.

Children’s Place Outfit: Shirt, $16.50, Denim skort $16.99, Wedge shoe $22.50

Justice for Girls

Justice for Girls is a store my daughter and I recently started going to. She loves the fashions and how they mimic the teen styles and I love the prices. They can be a little steep towards the front of the store, but in the back, the close-outs, clearance, and sales areas always have mega finds and deals. You can’t go wrong at Justice.

Justice uniform sweater (blue and gray), $24.99, Striped poncho $24.99

Target

Target always gets it right when it comes to their kid’s clothing department. I can spend hours there picking out outfits for my baby girl and their prices are always on point! The quality of their clothes has gotten better as well as I am able to wash their items numerous times without them shrinking for fading. This year, they have outdone themselves with their winter line for girls, so make sure you stop at Target and indulge!

Making your little fashionista fabulous can be done on a budget, I am living proof. Happy shopping! And let’s make this winter their best dressed winter yet!
