CNBC Presents “The Facebook Obsession” on 1/6 at 9pm EST

It looks as though everyone and their mother is on Facebook. With the six degree of separation law in between us, Facebook makes the world look even smaller. You can find long lost friends, relatives you didn’t know you had, and stalk your ex lover. All with a few keystrokes in the massive social networking portal.

Facebook is the #2 ranked website in the world, eclipsed only by Google. Millions of users worldwide log in several times a day to update their status, share pictures, videos, and links, and simply connect. For some, it is just something to do when bored, but for others, it has become an obsession.

CNBC and Lester Holt take you into the world that is Facebook with behind the scenes access at the social network and it’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg. The special also visits the Winklevoss twins and partner Divya Narendr, who according to the CNBC press release, “discuss the betrayal they felt when they found out Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook without them”.

You’ve seen the movie but you may still not know the real story behind Facebook and how it has taken over the world with it’s networking platform.

You may also not know the full effect Facebook has had on our world and our society.

Tune in to see one hour documentary,”The Facebook Obsession”, reported by NBC Correspondent Lester Holt on CNBC, Thursday, January 6th at 9pm/8pm CST.

Here are a couple of clips from the program:
