Give the Gift of Technology with Microsoft’s 2012 Holiday Look Book

If you are anything like me, then you are probably in the full throes of purchasing items for the special people on your gift list. It’s sometimes easier to determine if someone has been naughty or nice than what to get that person that is hard to shop for. Technology is a great gift for most people because—well—everyone loves tech. Whether it’s a smartphone or new laptop, or gaming system or game, there are few people who would turn down a gift that has technology included.

Inspired by style guides and look books created by Gap, Nordstrom, and J. Crew, my friends at Microsoft have launched a fun and well-done Holiday Look Book on Facebook that can help you find gifts for everyone on your list. The Look Book features gadgets and technology from Microsoft, as well as information, photos, and where/how to purchase.

Touted as an “an immersive, shareable experience”, you can also share the items in the Look Book via social media channels and email. So if you are a recipient and not the giver, you can share what you’d like in the Look Book.

To check out Microsoft’s Holiday Look Book, click HERE. You can also follow along with Microsoft’s gift selections and featured products by searching the #msftholiday hashtag.

I love how Microsoft is utilizing social media to share and spread the word about their gift ideas, making it easier for a lot of us to see visually what’s being offered. I love the look and feel of Microsoft’s Holiday Look Book. Job well done, guys!

I used to avoid everything related to microsoft for some time but lately they have been creating some innovative things that can really be handy. This looks fun and for us writers this can be a great tool to find trending products to write reviews and articles. Great work! I will be sure to check it out to see if I can get some nice writing ideas since I have been suffering from a horrible case of writers block and have been unable to write something holiday related. Not to mention that I am in the “What should I give to X person for Christmas?” mode. =)
