I’ve learned that when the atrium’s squeezing becomes irregular, blood doesn’t flow as smoothly through the heart and clots can form. Those clots can travel to the brain, disrupting the oxygen supply and causing a stroke. People with AFib are at approximately 5 times greater risk for stroke than those with regular heartbeats. Stroke is a leading cause of death and also of serious, long-term disability. It is essential to get to a hospital quickly if you suspect a stroke in yourself or others.Learn the acronym FAST to recognize the signs of stroke:

F = Face. Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech. Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T= Time. If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

#BirthdayBehavior In Las Vegas: The Palazzo Luxury Suite Edition

I am sharing deets about my recent stay at The Palazzo Luxury Suite as a guest of the hotel. I was given accommodations at no cost to me in exchange for an honest review of my experience.

I turned it up for my 41st birthday in Las Vegas. Read about my stay and get a rundown of my experience in The Palazzo Luxury Suite.

Guess who just turned 41?

If you said it me, then you are correct. I am not a person who is huge on my own birthday, but I knew this year that I wanted to spend it in another city from my own. Of course on my shortlist was Las Vegas, as you are always sure to find a good time there. Between the nightlife, shopping, shows, eating, and playing that is available, it’s a sure thing for a great time.

I was most looking forward to staying at The Palazzo, as this was my first time even venturing into this top-rated all-suites resort. Nestled mid-strip next to its sister property, The Venetian, it is currently the tallest building in the state of Nevada, and offers the largest standard rooms on the Vegas Strip. In fact, many people checking in for the first time assume that they’ve been upgraded because the rooms are so fabulously roomy and appointed.

For my birthday behavior, we were given the opportunity to stay in The Palazzo Luxury Suite which surpassed all of my expectations.

As you can tell from these photos, everything about The Palazzo Luxury Suite is just that—luxe.

Staying at The Palazzo isn’t just about the room, either. With over 20 restaurants, the eating is good! You can dine at favorites like Morels French Steakhouse and Bistro, Delmonico Steakhouse, or even eat healthy spa cuisine at The Canyon Ranch Cafe. And if you don’t feel like leaving your room, the in-room dining menu rivals anything you’ve seen at other resorts and hotels. We enjoyed their expansive menu and impeccable service when delivered to our room.

Also, if you are into shows, The Palazzo has something to suit your fancy. We were given tickets to their newest production, BAZ: Star Crossed Love, which features interwoven stories from Baz Lurhmann’s most popular films— Romeo and Juliet, Moulin Rouge, and Gatsby. I will be blogging more about that soon—it’s an incredible experience for music lovers and fans of these films.

Shopping is also quite a treat at The Palazzo, as the connecting Grand Canal Shoppes has everything from luxury designers to affordable treasures to take home with you. Stores include Christian Louboutin, Fendi, Pandora, Michael Kors, Coach, and Barneys New York–just to name a few.

The lobby and casino areas at The Palazzo are breathtaking, and it is fun to just wander and look around. With waterfalls aplenty, as well as eye catching statues and other points of interest, it is a good time.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Palazzo Luxury Suite and all of the amenities that our resort stay included. I look forward to staying there again in the near future.
