What do you do when it’s the wintertime and you are so over being cooped up in the house? Why, you take a little day trip!
That is exactly what my daughter and I did to break up the monotony of our current frozen state. On a chilly wind filled weekend, we hopped on the highway in the 2017 Mazda 6 Grand Touring and headed east to Eckert’s Farm, located in Belleville, Illinois. Eckert’s is a family owned farm that also boasts a restaurant and country store and was the perfect way to the day.
Spending time with my daughter is something that I cherish more and more these days. She’s getting older (almost 14) and soon, I won’t be cool enough for her to hang out with. Going on a quick getaway with her is just what the mama needs. The Chicklet might not know it either, but it is just what she needs, too.
Our first duty was to eat of course, so we noshed on some yumminess while planning what we would get at the country store. We like eating at Eckert’s Country Restaurant because everything is so fresh and good and cooked down home style.
During our lunch, we chatted it up about our upcoming vacation to Orlando. She’s excited about going to Universal Studios and I am excited about seeing all of the magic that is Walt Disney World.
Next up, we got a few goodies. We love shopping at Eckert’s Country Store. Everything is so fresh and colorful. We got a cart full of fruits and veggies, as well as some honey made right on the farm.
They also have amazing items like sauces, salsa, etc. that we enjoy and buy in quantity.
There are so many awesome features on the 2017 Mazda Grand Touring. The fuel economy is amazing and there are heated seats in both the front and the back which is a must for brisk winter days.
My daughter loves being able to listen to her music via the Bluetooth connection, and I love that she loves it. The ride is also quite smooth and makes a great car to take on the road. Whether you are going on a quick trip or massive road excursion, the 2017 Mazda 6 Grand Touring is pretty dope.
The 2017 Mazda 6 Grand Touring has smart city brake support and adaptive front light system. It was awarded the 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick. This car is stylish, vibrant, and fun to drive.
