Washi Tape Mason Jar Desk Organizers for Back to School

Washi Tape Mason Jar Desk Organizers

Help your kids get ready for back to school with my Washi Tape Mason Jar School Supply Organizers.

I can’t help it—I am a Chick that loves to be organized. I want my daughter to be organized, too. With school starting in just a few days, I’ve been trying to come up with ways to keep her tidy and ready for class. My love for mason jars is deep, so I created a few washi tape mason jar supply organizers for her desk. Similar to my mason jar cubbies, they provide a neat a storage option for all of your kids’ essentials.

Forget about having to search for what they need. With these fun washi tape mason jar organizers, everything they will need is within reach since they can see what’s inside.

Washi Tape Mason Jar

They are pretty simple to make and they can be as creative and fun as you want them to be.

All you need is the following:

  • mason jars or other glass jars (plastic jars work too)
  • washi tape (several colors and patterns)
  • school supplies such as erasers, pencils, rulers, glue sticks, etc.
  • chalkboard labels (or any type that you like)
  • scissors

Decorative Washi Tape

All of the items seen in this post where purchased at Michaels. You can also find these supplies in your local dollar store.

Once you have all of your items, pick out the washi tape style(s) you want for the project and begin affixing it to the mason jar.

Washi Tape Mason Jar DIY

Create different patterns by placing them strategically on the jar.

You can affix extras like fringe tape to give the mason jar a little more “character”.

Use the chalkboard labels to print the name of your student.

Perfect DIY for storage, don’t you think?

You can also use the labels to put the name of the contents that are in the jar!

For younger kids, I suggest using plastic mason jars instead for safety.

Super cute! What a really great idea. I haven’t had washi tape in the house in a little over a year but I recently purchased some new ones so this would be great to do!
