February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partn February is American Heart Month, and I’ve partnered with @MedIQCME and Duke Health to raise awareness about atrial fibrillation (AFib), also known as irregular heartbeat which affects 12 million people. My father was diagnosed with AFib and my family has a history of this condition, so I do my best to learn as much as I can about it.

I’ve learned that when the atrium’s squeezing becomes irregular, blood doesn’t flow as smoothly through the heart and clots can form. Those clots can travel to the brain, disrupting the oxygen supply and causing a stroke. People with AFib are at approximately 5 times greater risk for stroke than those with regular heartbeats. Stroke is a leading cause of death and also of serious, long-term disability. It is essential to get to a hospital quickly if you suspect a stroke in yourself or others.Learn the acronym FAST to recognize the signs of stroke:

F = Face. Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech. Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T= Time. If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

Six Must Have Fall Beauty Products for Busy Working Moms

Fall is almost here, which means that I am busy preparing for the new season. I am in full cleaning out my closets, getting the coats cleaned, and redecorating the house in more autumn colors type of mood. I have also been prepping my beauty station to help reflect the change into this “calm” time of year.

With the changing of the temperatures means that your beauty arsenal has to reflect products that are complimentary for the weather. I have a few beauty staples that are among my list of Six Must Have Fall Beauty Products for Working Moms.

These products have made the list because they are age-defining, affordable, and make for a quick addition to your beauty routine. These gems are also Cubicle Chick approved for the busy working mom who has a lot on her plate.

Feast your eyes on my list:

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Line

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy

Oh yes, I have fallen completely in love with this line. Whether you need stress relief, or help sleeping, or focusing, Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy plethora of products assists you. Inhaling these amazing scents can be just what the doctor ordered. This is a must-have staple for Fall health and beauty.

Lush Charity Pot

Cooler months may mean dry skin, so I love Lush’s Charity Pot. It smells heavenly and works to keep your skin both supple and moisturized. Use right out of the bath or shower to lock in moisture and keep your skin healthy looking all day. A portion of the proceeds for each sale of the Charity Pot go to the charity listed on the pot.

The Body Shop Targeted Tea Tree Gel

For dry skin spots or chaffing, The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Targeted Gel works wonders. Apply it directly to the problem area and in just a few applications, you will see a noticeable difference. You can also use it on cuts and burns to aid in healing.

Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser

I am a huge fan of Caudalie and their whole approach to beauty with the use of grapes to aid in keeping the skin youthful. Their Foaming Cleanser has a great scent and is a great way to get a little pep in your step in the mornings. Your skin will feel amazing after just one use!

RoC Multi Correxion

For my ladies in the place that are 40 and up, you know our neck and decollate need attention. I became a fan of RoC Multi Correxion for the Chest, Neck, and Face a year or so ago when I was a RoC Ambassador and was sent product to use for a review. It helps to fight lines and wrinkles and aging of the neck, chest, and face—I simply love it!

Kate Somerville EradiKate

I still have acne, which flares up around my monthly cycle. EradiKate helps to keep the skin clear without drying it out. Use daily where needed and watch bumps and breakouts disappear.

Fall is my favorite season, and I am looking forward to having an amazing and fabulous autumn. These Fall Beauty Products will be coming in handy for sure.
