Just Touched Down In Vegas: My First Fully Vaccinated Trip

What's it like going on my first fully vaccinated trip? I am sharing all the deets on my Las Vegas getaway.

Yay! It’s my first fully vaccinated trip!

Me and Vegas have been seeing one another at least one time each year since I can remember. All of that changed last year of course due to COVID. I missed the bright lights and adult-time vibe that Sin City offers, so when it came to planning our first fully vaccinated trip, my mate and I both decided that there was only once place to go first–Las Vegas.

We opted to go during the week when Vegas would be less-busy so we could slowly break ourselves into the full throes of traveling. The plan? To relax, relate, and release during four days at one of our favorite places with a little sunshine and atmosphere.

This is going to be pretty much a freestyle vacay–not much planned, and more in the moment type of activities that allow us to enjoy one another.

Here’s what we are looking forward to doing during this trip:

Sunday Brunch

As I shared in this post, one of the things I looked forward to post-vaccination was going to brunch. As you may know, Sunday Brunch is a delight, and in Vegas, it is an experience. With so many places to choose from, it can be hard to narrow it down.

During our last Vegas trip in 2019, we went to Primrose for brunch, and this time, as soon as we touched down in the city, we made sure to hit up the spot.

Walking on the Strip

Even with masks, walking on the strip brings me joy. The energy, the sights and sounds, there’s always something to do and see. I can never tire of walking Las Vegas Boulevard.

Sunshine poolside

I’m a self-proclaimed Black Beach Bunny, but there aren’t any beaches in Las Vegas (because believe me, I would so be there!). The pool is the next big thing, and I am getting acquainted with the pool offerings at The Palazzo.

Maxing and Relaxing

Our accommodations at The Palazzo are amazing, and the last time I stayed here, I spent more time outside of the room than inside. This time, it’s more of a leisurely trip, so we plan on relaxing and spending time in the room just the two of us.

Good Eats

Las Vegas has some incredible food spots. Whether you want something lavish or something diner style, you can find whatever it is that you want on The Strip.

I will be sharing a more comprehensive recap of my trip on my blog soon, but for now, this will do. We are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying our first fully vaccinated trip, and we are elated that we can finally travel again.

If you are fully vaccinated, have you traveled yet? What has been your experience?
