Hey ya’ll! As you are reading this, I am flying the friendly skies en route to NOLA for the 2014 Essence Fest. I first shared my excitement about being selected as a ColgateTOTAL Blogger back in May, and one of my “duties” is attending the Essence Fest and spreading the news and goings on of the Colgate Booth while enjoying the vibe of the festival. Oh, what a job I have!
This is my first Essence Festival experience and I am truly excited to be going this year. If you are to follow along on my exploits, I will be live-tweeting the festival on Twitter and sharing photos on my Facebook page. I also plan on documenting the wonderful travel stuff on the travel site I co-own called Around the World In Pink.
As you may already know, I am a proponent of working hard and playing just as hard. Life should be all about balance, and we should all have moments on the regular where we can have a good time with no worries. That is why we grind so hard, right? So we can enjoy the fruits of our labor.
What am I looking forward to the most? I must say it happens to be Prince, who will be performing on July 4th. I have never seen His Royal Purple Badness perform live, so this is such a treat for me. I am a huge Prince fan, so seeing him is going to be epic. And of course, I will be sporting some purple.
