In Every Office, There’s Always a NeNe Leakes

If you are a fan of NBC’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, then I am sure you saw what went down between NeNe Leakes and LaToya Jackson after they left the boardroom during Sunday night’s episode. You would think that a victory for Team ASAP under Project Manager LaToya Jackson would mean a celebration in the suite as they watched Team Backbone get rid of another player. But that wasn’t the case— because as soon as reality show star NeNe Leakes got an opportunity, she let everyone know how she felt about Jackson.

I am not about to repeat her venom here—but basically, NeNe (unprofessionally I might add) took it personal and began calling Jackson “Casper” (because of her skin color or lack thereof) and went on to say that the only reason why she was famous was because of LaToya’s last name. She also spoke of LaToya’s age and was just completely dead wrong for her outburst.

For someone who is always talking about separating business from personal, Leakes definitely went there.

I have seen some pretty ignorant and foul stuff on reality television, but NeNe really struck a nerve. It was simply uncalled for. We all know that LaToya isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer (I also think she is smarter than some give her credit for), but NeNe’s outburst was scathing and undeserved.

After the episode aired, NeNe took to her Twitter account and basically played the “victim” card as she always does. She tweeted about how the editing process makes things look something different from what really happened, but those words were not edited to come out of her mouth like that. She spoke them and now she is crying wolf because she can’t take it back.

NeNe does this all of the time. It’s always someone else’s fault—on Real Housewives of Atlanta, it was Kim’s fault when NeNe went off—I have never seen her take responsibility for her actions.

In every office, there is always a NeNe Leakes. The blamer, the victim, the one everyone is out to get. Only these personality types are usually certifiable and can’t act in a professional manner by not saying everything that comes to their mind at the time. Censorship and professionalism is out the window when they feel attacked—and for these types of employees, they are always the ones who people are after. In their heads, their narcissism prevails.

Seek a therapist!

For people like NeNe, I say sit the hell down. Yes you can have an opinion. Yes, you can be loud and obnoxious. But do it on your own time. In office environment, be professional for once and shut the hell up. You think you are looking like a strong force to be reckoned with but you look like a clown.

No one is laughing with you Boo Boo.

Girl.you hit the nail on the head. It seems like the more I see her in television the less I like her. For a woman (that age) to be that nasty, she must definitely have some really deep issues that she is covering up.

Bessie, NeNe definitely has some deep issues that need to be dealt with on someone’s couch. Usually the bully is the one will self esteem issues. I feel sorry for her.

NeNe is a mess. I don’t watch Apprentice but I do watch RHOA, and it seems to me that she drinks a whole lot of Haterade. And you hit the nail on the head about her being a narcissist. If it ain’t all about NeNe then she has a problem with who it is about. She is a bully. She is jealous. And she has issues.
After watching RHOA, I wonder how she sleeps at night.

Ne Ne really needs help. She’s caught up in the “fame game” and will look back on all of these antics with regret some day.

I agree with you, which is shocking because I’m actually a fan of Nene. She is definitely a source of entertainment in my book. I do nothing but laugh when I witness her antics, but calling Latoya an old ghost was completely out of line.

One thing that bothered me about Latoya though: she really did lie on Nene in the boardroom to make it look like Nene had a personal vendetta against, when in fact she was speaking on Latoya’s leadership skills. Like you said, Latoya is not the shapest knife in the drawer. She does though, know how to defend herself, but there was much passive aggressive trickery going on during her defense, which is what set Nene off. Latoya knew what she was doing when she did that.

My problem is, why do people condone that kind of conniving behavior when it’s done under the guise of innocence, but berate someone when they’re loud and upfront about it? I think they were both in the wrong.

Nene, however, went waaaaaaay too far once they stepped out of the boardroom. You don’t talk to the Thriller’s sister like that. No ma’am. (Really, you shouldn’t talk to anyone like that, but this is pop royalty vs. a new reality star. No bueno.)

We can also say that Nene needs helps and blah blah blah, but this is why she was put on the show in the first place and has made a name for herself outside of RhoA. The producers of the show knew what they were doing when they added her to the cast. And see if their ratings took a turn for the best after her tirade lol

wow, i’ve been recording Celeb Apprentice but I have not been watching. I need to catch up! From what I know of NeNe from RHOA, she is a hot mess. I have a love/hate relationship with her and her persona. I do think that when she goes off, she resorts to ignorant name calling and belittling people which makes it seem to me as if she has some underlying self-esteem issues. That’s just my opinion.

I was offended by her treatment of LaToya. After all, this is for charity and NeNe could have let this be a celebration for Latoya and her charity. It was so mean and uncalled for.

I was dumbstruck when I saw how she acted (I’m not a fan of RHOA), but I LOVE LaToya! Yes, we do know that she’s not the brightest, (although she’s holding her own on the show) but she is a woman who has some class about her. For NeNe to say what she said, I’m thinking “That woman comes from a musical dynasty, whether she was the star or not, she was on stage with her brothers and sisters in Vegas before we even knew that what went on there stayed there, who’s gonna know who NeNe is 10 or 15 years from now?” I’m sorry, Omarosa acted better than NeNe! As for LaToya, I loved her response every time NeNe started hollering “Are you done? Are you done, ARE YOU DONE? Tone it down a bit, tone it down, no need to holler at me”, and then she walked away from her.

I also saw that NeNe didn’t have much to say on her Twitter timeline. As for the previews next week, I suspect she’s going to get a lot of hate mail…you don’t desecrate MJ, no matter what!

Best reality show response EVER! Team LaToya!

I missed this episode of Celebrity Apprentice. I have never liked NeNe and stopped watching RHOA because she makes me sick. I despise the way she carries herself and how she speaks. She is the stereotypical loud mouth, attitude having, ready to fight, cuss, and act a fool any and everywhere black woman that we see in the hood, on the job, and *sigh* our own families at times.

LaToya Jackson may not be the most bold or outspoken person but that does not mean NeNe has the right to push her around or call her names. I am glad to hear that LaToya did not stoop to NeNe’s level. NeNe really needs to grow up and stop playing the victim. She has anger issues and is so classless.

You are absolutely right because we have a Ne Ne Leakes in our office. Not that professions should matter but she is in the military and it’s sad to watch her act a fool each and every day. She’s never wrong even though everything she says and does is out of line but she’s always a victim. Yes I know the kind very well. Great post!

I like NeNe…I really do…NeNe’s mouth is what has gotten her this far as far as reality tv. But it will not take her how far she wants to go. It is not always a good thing to say every. single thing. That comes to mind… I read this article before I had a chance to watch the show…Watched it over the weekend. I wish she would stop…She was totally out of line…Why even go there with the personal jabs? I mean really. Again, I’ve always liked NeNe on RHOA. Loved her come backs and sayings…But this here I can’t co sign…Get it together Nene…

    NENE:

Once again, you used to be a favorite RHOA of many but you are nothing more than an embarrassment now. You were cruel to Latoya and to the memory of the great Michael Jackson. I mean you have to love Latoya because of her extreme likeness to her brother. How dare you disrespect the dynasty!! You will never prosper with your attitude!! Get help.
