15 Inspiring Kamala Harris Quotes For Women of All Ages

To help celebrate another historical moment, I am sharing inspiring Kamala Harris quote for women of all ages. Read and share!

History has been made once again.

Senator Kamala Harris is the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for vice president in the 2020 election, and the first Black and Asian American to be chosen as the running mate of a major party’s presidential candidate.

Kamala is no stranger to breaking down barriers as she was elected district attorney of San Fransisco and then ascended to attorney general of California in 2010 and 2014.

She became Senator in January 2017.

Love her or hate her, she has been successful in her own right, and has had a storied and impressive professional career. She is now poised to be the first woman and Black Vice President ever.

YES!

I am sharing 15 inspiring Kamala Harris Quotes for Women of All Ages to help celebrate our 2020 Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee.

Get a dose of encouragement!

1. Don’t give up – our country needs you now more than ever. This is a pivotal moment in the history of our country: Our ideals are at stake, and we all have to fight for who we are. We are all, and should be treated as, equals, but the disparity in terms of income and inequality, for women and women of color, is significant.

It doesn’t matter how bleak or grim things may look in our country, we have to fight. Get our hands dirty. Put in the work to create a better place for not only ourselves, but our kids and the generations coming after us.

2. The American Dream belongs to all of us.

ALL. OF. US. Understood?

3. I was raised to be an independent woman, not a victim of anything.

No matter our backgrounds, we aren’t our circumstances or where we come from. We are our greatest possibilities.

4. My mother had a saying: “Kamala, you may be the first to do many things, but make sure you’re not the last.”

Be a way maker. A way paver. Do big things so that others can too. Uplift and bring people with you.

5. My mother was and will always be my greatest hero.

Kamala’s mother Shyamala Gopalan was a breast-cancer scientist who emigrated from India. A hero indeed!

6. I believe that a child going without an education is a crime.

Every child deserves to have a quality education, and it is up to us to make sure that we fight to make that happen. For all of our children.

7. If we do not lift up women and families, everyone will fall short.

Gone are the days that women are looked at as lesser than or not equal. If we fail women, we fail period. Uplift women and pour into them.

8. We don’t have enough women who are making decisions about public policy will be. We need greater representation.

This is a fact—we need more women in leadership. Do you agree?

9. What’s important for my daughter to know is that, if you are fortunate to have opportunity, it is your duty to make sure other people have those opportunities as well.

Each one, teach one, reach one. And bring one with you! It’s our duty.

10. You got to take care of yourself. If I exercise or I eat proper foods, am I indulging myself? That’s called feeding your body.

If we want to be Boss women, we have to treat our bodies right.

11. In order to find balance, I feel very strongly about two things in particular in terms of routine: work out and eat well.

I am learning more and more that this an important ingredient to the recipe of success. From the inside out.

12. I remember when my mother, Shyamala Harris, bought our first home. I was thirteen. She was so proud, and my sister and I were so excited. Millions of Americans know that feeling of walking through the front door of their own home for the first time – the feeling of reaching for opportunity and finding it.

Some of our best inspiration is provided by those who are closest to us.

13. Women should not allow themselves to be caught up in the hype that says performance, meaning the motions, is what matters.

Performance is key, but the moves you make and your trajectory are what help you get to the next level.

14. Surround yourself with really good friends. Have people around you who cheer you on, and applaud you, and support you, and are honest with you, and tell you, you know, when your breath stinks.

We are so much better when we have good friends who have our backs.

15. If anyone ever gets in your way and tells you to not follow your dreams — be it because of your age, gender, what you look like or where you come from — don’t listen. Do not be burdened by what has been when you can create what should be.

You can do whatever you put your mind to, period. There are no limits!

Whatever your political affiliation or leanings, Kamala Harris has the experience, resume, and background that is inspiring and full of awesome Girl Power.

Here’s to making more history!
